  • Technology Assessments: Provide a focused approach to conduct policy research that examines short- and long-term consequences (e.g., economic, ethical, legal) of the application of technology

  • Help Desk: Provide the initial point of contact for computer users (e.g., organizational personnel) who have problems or need help in order for organizational personnel to maintain productivity and improve employee or customer satisfaction

  • Application/Database Development: Follow a lifecycle model that establishes the order of phases, as well as the criteria of moving from one phase to the next: Requirements, Design, Development, Testing, and Release. Leverage integrated platforms throughout the lifecycle that support SQL, XML, and procedural languages (e.g., PL/SQL, Java, C/C++) in a simple fashion with high performance and scalability

  • IT Security: Clarify IT security roles, responsibilities, and objectives to ensure information system resources are not left unprotected. The goal is to reduce – and, if possible, eliminate – operating risks, system vulnerabilities, and potential legal liability originating from unauthorized and/or inappropriate activity on those systems

  • Strategic Planning/Process Improvement: Develop a plan that focuses on the organization’s needs, the ability of IT to meet those needs, how to close any gaps, how decisions will be made, and how to measure progress

  • User Training and Curriculum Development: One of the most important aspects of successfully rolling out a new technology in an organization, follow a five-step process to develop, design, and implement user training and curriculum development

  • ISO-Audit Support: Provide guidance on auditing management systems, including the principles of auditing, managing an audit program and conducting management system audits, as well as guidance on the evaluation of competence of individuals involved in the audit process, including the person managing the audit program, auditors and audit teams
